Allow formulas in the backend

Allow formulas to be used in the backend. We use this currently in supermetrics so we can have a template sheet where stakeholders can enter in filters (dates, campaign names) etc.
Currently Datastudio overwrites all the query parameters in the back end with RAW text.

Hello, I think that the request is to allow formulas on DataslayerQueries configuration cells. For example, the date cells could refer to values of other sheets. Currently, if I add a formula on those cells, it gets overwritten when the query refreshes.

Exactly. Once we build a template in Google Sheets, we often only need to change the campaign name.

We also use formulas in the filter column or have specific date requirements or want to control which dimensions are looked it via formulas. Please see the refer to column AA in:

Hi,
I have looked at the sheet and it is not very clear to us what exactly you mean when you say allow formulas in the backend.

Can you share a video or a more specific example?
Sorry for the inconvenience
