When creating a query without a dimension, the data should just be returned as one number in a cell. However, when pulling queries without a dimension split, DS still returns data split by a dimension, usually by account.

Hi,
Can you provide us with more information (i.e. datasource, metrics, filters... )? We have checked all datasources without splitting by any dimension and we get data correctly.
Otherwise, if you select more than one account and you split by some dimension, we added manually the account dimension. Also we make a quick fix, if some of these dimensions is account, now we do not add it manually beacause of redundant information.
Yes, I was pulling data from adwords from multiple different accounts and this was happening. Accounts should not be added manually unless it the account dimension is in the query parameters. The reason for this is sometimes I don't want it split out by account, sometimes I want a nice quick, easy number across all my accounts without having to sum everything up.

Seems to happen because there's two links in the account list

I have also noticed that this causes doubling up of data in Adwords. See here for some reason the same accounts have been pulled in twice, each under different manager accounts (there is only one manager account in adwords so this should not be the case). See duplicated highlighted.

Also happens on Bing queries

Example screenshot - this query asks for date and account however DS still provides a redundant dimension called accounts in adwords which is not required.
