Before using the connector:
- Start a new chat in le Chat
- Click the enable tools icon (usually at the bottom of the chat)
- Ensure your Dataslayer connector is selected/enabled
6. Test Your Connection
In the chat, try a simple query:
"Using Dataslayer, show me my Google Ads spend for the last 7 days"
If everything is set up correctly, Le Chat will fetch your data and display the results.
Best Practices for Mistral AI MCP
To get the most accurate and useful results while MCP is in beta, structure your prompts clearly:
Be specific about what you want:
- Mention which metrics and dimensions you need
- Include date ranges and any filters
- Specify the data source if you have multiple accounts connected
Example of a well-structured prompt:
"Using Dataslayer, retrieve my LinkedIn Ads data for account 'Account Name'
for October 2025. Show me spend, impressions, CTR, and conversions
grouped by campaign name, sorted by spend from highest to lowest."
Instead of a vague prompt:
"Show me my LinkedIn data"
The more explicit you are, the better Le Chat can understand exactly which data to retrieve and how to format it.
What Happens Next?
Once connected, Le Chat can:
- Query any data source connected to your Dataslayer account
- Provide analysis and insights based on your marketing data
- Answer follow-up questions to help you understand performance trends
- Create summaries and reports based on your actual data
- Suggest optimizations and highlight key patterns in your campaigns
You don't need to reconnect each time. The integration remains active as long as your Dataslayer account is current, and syncs automatically across all your devices.
Managing Your Connection
To view or manage your connector:
- Go to le Chat → Toggle panel → Intelligence menu → Connectors
- Find Dataslayer in your My Connectors tab
- Click on the connector card to see details, functions, and settings
To disconnect le Chat:
- In the connector card, click the menu options (three dots)
- Select Disconnect or Remove
To reconnect: Follow the same setup process again.
Updating your connection: If you need to update your server URL (for example, if you regenerate your MCP credentials in Dataslayer), simply remove the old connector and add it again with the new URL.
Authentication and Security
Mistral AI connects to Dataslayer through a secure, encrypted connection using the Model Context Protocol. Your data credentials are never shared with Mistral directly, and all queries are processed through Dataslayer's secure infrastructure.
Mistral's privacy advantages:
- EU-hosted infrastructure: All data processing happens in European data centers
- ISO 27001 compliant: Enterprise-grade security standards
- No subscription required: Test MCP capabilities risk-free on the free plan
Your unique MCP URL is personal to your account and should not be shared with others.
