# How Do I Connect Dataslayer MCP to Mistral AI?
## Learn how to connect Dataslayer MCP to Mistral Vibe using a custom MCP connector and start querying your marketing data with natural language.
Connect **Dataslayer MCP to Mistral Vibe** and start querying your marketing data using natural language.
Dataslayer connects to Vibe through a **custom MCP connector**, allowing Mistral to access the authorized marketing, analytics, CRM, and e-commerce data available in your Dataslayer account.
The Dataslayer **Mistral MCP server** URL is:
`https://agents.dataslayer.ai/mcp`
### **What You'll Need**
Before getting started, make sure you have:
- An active Dataslayer account with MCP access.
- At least one data source connected in Dataslayer.
- Access to Mistral Vibe.
- Access to **Vibe Work** and its Connectors section.
### **How to Connect Dataslayer MCP to Mistral Vibe**
#### **1. Open Connectors in Vibe Work**
In Mistral Vibe, select **Work**.
From the left sidebar, go to:
**Context → Connectors**
#### **2. Add a new connector**
Click:
**+ Add connector**
This opens the Vibe connector Marketplace.
Then select:
**Add a custom connector**
#### **3. Configure the Dataslayer MCP connector**
Enter the following details:
- **Connector name:** `Dataslayer`
- **Server:** `https://agents.dataslayer.ai/mcp`
- **Description:** Optional
For the description, you can use: **Access and analyze marketing data from the data sources connected to Dataslayer.**
Once you enter the Dataslayer MCP server URL, Mistral automatically detects the authentication method and selects **OAuth2.1**.
You do not need to enable **Advanced OAuth Settings**.
#### **4. Choose the connector visibility**
Under **Visibility**, choose how the Dataslayer connector should be available:
- **Personal:** only you can find and use the connector.
- **Workspace:** other members of your workspace can find and use the connector.
Choose the option that best fits how your Mistral workspace is managed.
#### **5. Add the connector**
Click **Add connector**.
Mistral will redirect you to Dataslayer to authenticate the connection.
#### **6. Sign in to Dataslayer**
Sign in using your Dataslayer account.
You can log in with:
- Email and password.
- Google.
- Microsoft.
Complete the authentication process to authorize the **Mistral AI MCP** connection.
#### **7. Confirm the connection**
After authentication, you will be redirected back to Vibe.
Your Dataslayer connection should appear with the status:
**Valid**
Vibe will also automatically discover the tools available through the Dataslayer MCP server.
#### **8. Review tool permissions**
From the connector page, you can review how Vibe handles the different Dataslayer tools.
For example, interactive tools can be configured to **Ask** before running, while read-only tools can be set to **Allow**.
You can adjust these permissions from the connector page according to your preferences.
#### **9. Start using Dataslayer in Vibe**
Click **Try now** to start using the connector.
You can now ask Mistral Vibe questions about the marketing data available in your Dataslayer account.
What Can I Ask Mistral Vibe?
Once the **Mistral MCP** connection is active, you can retrieve and analyze data from your connected Dataslayer sources.
For example:
- Show me Google Ads spend, clicks, and conversions for the last 30 days.
- Compare Meta Ads and Google Ads performance this month.
- Which campaigns generated the highest ROAS last week?
- Compare my advertising performance this month with the previous month.
For better results, specify the **data source, account, date range, metrics, and dimensions** you want to analyze.
### **Troubleshooting**
#### **The Dataslayer connector doesn't show as Valid**
Check that the Server field contains exactly:
`https://agents.dataslayer.ai/mcp`
If necessary, reconnect the Dataslayer account and complete the authentication process again.
#### **OAuth authentication doesn't open**
Confirm that the Dataslayer MCP server URL has been entered correctly.
Mistral should automatically detect **OAuth2.1**, so you do not normally need to configure Advanced OAuth Settings manually.
#### **I can't see the Dataslayer tools**
Open the Dataslayer connector and confirm that the connection status is **Valid**.
If the connection is valid but the tools are not displayed, reconnect the connector and allow Vibe to discover the available tools again.
#### **Vibe asks for permission before using a tool**
This can be expected depending on the tool permissions configured for the connector.
Review the Dataslayer connector page and check whether the relevant tools are set to **Ask** or **Allow**.
#### **I can't access the marketing data I need**
Check that:
- The required data source is connected to your Dataslayer account.
- You have access to the account you are requesting.
- Your Dataslayer plan includes the required data source.
- Your prompt specifies the correct data source, account, and date range.
### **Start Exploring**
Once Dataslayer appears as **Valid**, click **Try now** and start with a simple question such as: **What's my total Google Ads spend this month?**
or: **Compare my Google Ads and Meta Ads spend and conversions for the last 30 days.**
