# How Do I Connect Dataslayer MCP to ChatGPT?
## Learn how to connect Dataslayer MCP to ChatGPT through the Plugin Directory and start querying your marketing data in just a few steps.
Connect **Dataslayer MCP to ChatGPT** through the ChatGPT Plugin Directory and start querying your connected marketing data using natural language.
Dataslayer is available directly in **ChatGPT Plugins**, so you no longer need to manually add or configure the MCP server.
### **What You'll Need**
Before getting started, make sure you have:
- A ChatGPT account with access to **Plugins**.
- An active Dataslayer account.
- At least one data source connected to Dataslayer.
### **How to Connect Dataslayer MCP to ChatGPT**
1. In ChatGPT, select **Plugins** from the left sidebar.
If **Plugins** isn't visible, go to **Profile → Settings → Plugins → Browse directory**.
2. Search for **Dataslayer** and open the Dataslayer plugin.

3. Click **Try now**.
4. If prompted, sign in to your **Dataslayer account** and authorize access.
5. Start asking ChatGPT questions about your marketing data.
That's it! Dataslayer MCP is now ready to use in ChatGPT.
### **What Can I Ask ChatGPT?**
Once connected, you can use Dataslayer to retrieve and analyze data from your connected marketing platforms.
For example:
- Show me my Google Ads spend, clicks, and conversions for the last 30 days.
- Compare my Google Ads and Meta Ads performance this month.
- Which campaigns generated the highest ROAS last week?
For better results, include the **data source, account, date range, metrics, and dimensions** you want to analyze.
### **Troubleshooting**
#### **I can't find Plugins**
If **Plugins** doesn't appear in the left sidebar, go to:
**Profile → Settings → Plugins → Browse directory**
Then search for **Dataslayer**.
#### **I can't connect Dataslayer**
Make sure you're signing in with an active Dataslayer account and complete the authorization process if prompted.
You can also reopen the Dataslayer plugin and click **Try now** again.
#### **ChatGPT isn't retrieving my data**
Check that:
- The relevant data source is connected to Dataslayer.
- You're using the correct account.
- The requested date range contains data.
- Your prompt clearly specifies the platform and data you want to retrieve.
Try starting with a simple request before moving on to more complex comparisons.
### **Start Exploring**
Once connected, try asking: **What's my total ad spend this month?**
or: **Compare my Google Ads and Meta Ads spend and conversions for the last 30 days.**
