How does the Reach metric work in LinkedIn Ads?

Are you experiencing discrepancies when calculating Reach in your LinkedIn Ads reports?

LinkedIn Ads API has a limitation on pulling data for the metric "Reach" that goes further than 90 days.

It is important to note that if your query configuration exceeds a 90-day date range, you may encounter discrepancies between the results provided by Dataslayer and those displayed on the LinkedIn platform. To ensure accuracy, we recommend limiting your queries to a maximum of 90 days.

Examples:

  • A. Using the "Last X days" option to select the number of days (equal to or less than 90 days):

    1-Nov-22-2024-10-47-50-0732-AM
  • B. You can utilize the "Custom date range" feature if you have specific dates in mind that fall within 90 days or shorter:

    2-Nov-22-2024-10-47-50-0732-AM

If you attempt to run a query that spans more than 90 days, you will still receive results; however, they may not be entirely accurate. This discrepancy arises because the data is collected in 90-day segments and subsequently combined, which can result in inconsistencies in the reported totals.
