[Data Sources](https://support.dataslayer.ai/data-sources?hsLang=en) December 30, 2024 # How to create new Criteo credentials ## This post is to introduce you on how to authenticate or reauthenticate Criteo with Google Sheets, Looker Studio, and our website destinations. ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/5134c19968a6bc00/klaviyo-2_1ylca81.png) #### To generate queries from the Criteo platform, it is essential to first establish a connection with Dataslayer. This requires creating new Criteo credentials by following the steps outlined below: 1\. Go to [developers.criteo.com](https://developers.criteo.com/) and log into your account. 2\. Once on the [partners.criteo.com](http://partners.criteo.com) site, in the **App section**, click on the “Create a new app” button on the top right or the "+" option available. ![6](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/6.png?width=688&height=268&name=6.png) ![7](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/7.png?width=688&height=268&name=7.png) 2\. At the **Activate your App** window, three sections will be displayed: - **Create APP** \- App Details: Write down a Name and Description for your app and click on "next".  *Here you can enter a name such as "External App", "Dataslayer APP" or anything that can help you identify that the App is being created to establish the connection with Dataslayer.* ![8](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/8.png?width=688&height=268&name=8.png) \- Authentication method: Proceed by selecting Client Credentials and then click on "Create". ![9](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/9.png?width=688&height=268&name=9.png) - **App Activation** For Service, select the option C-Growth and Marketing Solutions and click on "Next". ![10](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/10.png?width=688&height=268&name=10.png) - **Authorizations** Make sure that all authorizations are selected under the "Read" option. ![11](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/11.png?width=688&height=268&name=11.png) A pop-up window will appear to ask if you'd like to Activate your app, click on "**Activate**" 3\. Open the document downloaded and search for the **Client\_id** and the **Client\_secret**. These values will be required to log into Dataslayer. To proceed, you'll need to generate consent URLs. Locate the **Create New Consent URL** button in the top-right corner of the screen. Please copy and send that URL to the person who manages the Advertiser you wish to report on. They will need to click on that link and follow the instructions. **Please, note that the URL is single-use. It will expire once clicked.** 7\. Once the Advertisers have completed the consent form from the URL, you are **ready to establish the connection between Criteo and Dataslayer**! 8\. Login into [Dataslayer.ai](http://dataslayer.ai) and look for the Hub Account section. ![2](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/2.png?width=688&height=268&name=2.png) 9\. Once in there, look for the Criteo connector. ![3](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/3.png?width=688&height=268&name=3.png) 10\. Click on "+ Add new account". ![4](https://support.dataslayer.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Criteo%20Login/4.png?width=688&height=268&name=4.png) 11 . A new window will be opened to start the login access into the Criteo platform.
