How to reauthenticate or remove a Looker Studio connector

Sometimes the Looker Studio connectors can have connection issues logging in or maybe you can have an error message with the connector connection. Reauthenticating a data source refreshes your connection to it.

By revoking access to the connector you are removing the login cache, remember to go to the connector configuration view, and set the hub accounts and accounts previously selected.

Your Looker Studio data won't be affected by this process.

If you get the error "Could not find any of your selected parent emails" DO NOT revoke access. To fix it follow these steps.

 

There are two ways to reauthenticate a connector:

1. Go to your report on Looker Studio, and click on Add data

2. Find the data source’s name by searching for "Dataslayer" on the search bar.

3. Click on the three-dot menu at the top-right of the connector and click on Revoke access.

4. Click on Remove and confirm the process by clicking on Remove anyway.

5. Reconnect to your data source again (make sure you are accepting all the permissions).

6. If your email appears in the Hub, refresh the login on the arrows icon next to the email. If your email does not appear in the Hub, click "Add new account" to log in.

 7. Finish logging in and configuring the connector as normal.

1. Open Looker Studio and click on the connector you want to reauthenticate. If you are already working on a report, click on Resource -> Manage added data sources and click on Edit.

2 Click on Edit connection on the left side.

3. Click on the following URL in order to revoke the connector credentials:

4. Click on the following URL in order to reconnect your account:

5. Authenticate your data source accounts again (make sure you are accepting all the permissions).

6. If your email appears in the Hub, refresh the login on the arrows icon next to the email. If your email does not appear in the Hub, click "Add new account" to log in.

7. Finish logging in and configuring the connector as normal.

8. Go back to your dashboard (in case you were previously working on it) and click on Refresh data.
