Managing your subscription
Managing your subscription in Dataslayer is simple and flexible. You can upgrade, downgrade, switch between products, or cancel your subscription whenever you need to, directly from your account settings.
In the sections below, we’ll walk you through each option step by step.
How to upgrade or downgrade your plan
If you need to adjust your subscription, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan directly from your account by following these steps:
- Log in to your account in the Dataslayer app.
If your account belongs to a company, make sure to log in with the owner’s email. - In the main dashboard or the menu on the left, open the destination (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, BigQuery, etc.) where you want to change your plan.
- Go to the License section and click "Change to this plan" on the subscription you want to activate.
In the License section, you can view your renewal date, your current plan details, and manage your subscription (invoices, payment method, etc.).
How are subscription changes applied?
When you make a change in your subscription, it is applied automatically depending on the type of change:
- Upgrades
If you upgrade your plan, the new plan will be applied immediately, and you will only be charged the price difference between your current plan and the new one for the remaining days of your billing cycle. - Downgrades
If you downgrade your plan, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be able to downgrade again until the new lower plan is activated.
If you experience a temporary peak in your usage and you don’t want to upgrade your entire plan, you can simply purchase extra API calls. For more detailed information, please refer to this article.
Switching from one product to another
Each destination has its own separate subscription.
If you want to switch from one product to another (for example, from Google Sheets to Looker Studio, or Microsoft Excel to Google Sheets), follow these steps:

Cancel the subscription for the product you no longer wish to use by going to the License section and clicking on “Yes, I want to unsubscribe” below the displayed plans.
Your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing cycle, and you’ll continue to have full access until then. -
Purchase a new subscription for the product you want to use, following the same steps shown earlier.
If you wish to use multiple products at the same time, simply keep both subscriptions active. Each one will be billed separately, and you can manage them independently.

How to cancel your subscriptions?
You can cancel each subscription individually from the License section of the corresponding product in your account, following the steps explained above.
Once a subscription is canceled, it will not renew, but you’ll still have full access to that product until the end of your current billing period.
