How Blended Connectors Impact Your API Calls or Row Consumption
API Call usage (Legacy Plans)
As you may know, Google Sheets destination is based on API Calls consumed (for Legacy Plans). Taking this into account, each connector configured in the Blended Connectors will still need to run in the background to extract the information correctly. Therefore, each connector will consume one API call, in addition to the API call that the Blended Connector itself may consume.
For example:
Let's say you have a Blended Connector that has Google Ads, GA4, and Facebook Ads configured in it, and you run a query that only extracts Google Ads and Facebook Ads (by selecting only accounts from these two connectors).
The API Call usage of this table will be 3 API Calls: 1 from Google Ads, 1 from Facebook Ads, and 1 from the Blended Connector itself.
Row Usage
For products that have a row limit, such as BigQuery, API Query Manager, and our other web products, row usage is based on all the rows needed for the Blended Connector table. This means that the total rows consumed will be the sum of the rows in the Blended Connector table plus all rows of information from each data source.
For example:
Let's say you have a Blended Connector with Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and GA4 configured in it. You run a query that outputs 300 rows in total. To be able to get those 300 rows we need to run internal calls which will also consume rows.
For this example, Facebook Ads used 1000 rows, Google Ads 500, and GA4 500. So the total row consumption for the 300-row table will be 1000+500+500+300 for a total of 2300 rows.
However, this internal usage information will be detailed in the preview so you know exactly how many rows you'd be using.
