If you already have a query in Dataslayer, you can modify it from Power BI to extract the data you want without having to access our website. We explain how to do it in this article.
1. Open Power BI Desktop.
2. Click on Get data from another source and search for Dataslayer to use our connector.
If it does not appear it is because you have not installed it previously. To do this follow these steps.
3. Click on Connect, and all your saved queries will appear in Power BI.
4. Select the query you want to import. Above the preview, you will see some options to modify the query.
- 4. 1. Connection - Account (optional): The drop-down will show you the connections and accounts you have connected in Dataslayer so you can change them if necessary.
Make sure to select accounts that belong to the same connection.
- 4. 2. Date range type (optional): You can modify the date range by expanding or reducing it according to your needs.
- 4. 3. Metrics (optional): Add metrics to the previously created query to get more information.
- 4. 4. Dimensions (optional): Add dimensions to the previously created query to divide the information.
5. Once you have selected all the changes click on Apply, and you will see a preview of the query with the changes made.
6. Finally, click Load to be able to use the query in your Power BI report.
If you want to modify the query in detail, such as adding filters or advanced options, you will have to do it from our website.
