This article will guide you on how to adjust the parameters of your query on our API Query Manager product without modifying the query in the Dataslayer platform.

As you know we have three copying options:
- Encrypted URL: This one is encrypted, you will not be able to see the selected parameters.
- Encoded URL: This is not encrypted, and you will be able to see all the parameters you have selected.
- Decoded URL: This one is the URL already decoded.
To change the parameters without modifying the query on the Dataslayer website, you can use the Decoded URL option and change the parameters before introducing it to the platform of your choice.
For the following example, we have used this site to show and modify the decoded URL generated by API Query Manager.
We are going to proceed by changing the date range "This month" to "This year" and we are going to remove the "Impressions" metric:
Make sure you do not remove any formatting from the URL, try to remove and modify it correctly or errors may occur.
Done! The URL has been modified accordingly.
If you encode the URL once the changes have been made, errors may occur so you can use the decoded URL with the parameters changed as is in the platform of your choice.
