Do you have a query created by another user and you want to modify it or maybe you are getting the "Please try again to login into your data source" and you don't understand why?
In theory, you can't modify a query from another user but we will explain to you how to do it. The only thing you need is to have access to the same data source accounts as the person who created the original query.
You have to be logged in to the data source with the new credentials you want to use.
1. Go to the "DataslayerQueries" hidden sheet
In Google Sheets:
Click on the "all sheets" button.
In Excel:
Click on the Dataslayer tab and Manage queries
The subsequent steps are the same for Google Sheets and MS Excel.
2. In the "AL" column, change the email that appears in "Refresh with user account" to the email of the account that wants to modify the query (the one you are logging into the data source with). That's it!
If you have a shared Spreadsheet document, when you make a query with any data source, the other users can refresh or modify it as those users have an active session in the same data source.
Can I change the creator of the query?
You can also change the created by user column in case you want to change the creator of the query.
In the "AO" column, change the email that appears in "Created by user account" to the email of the account that wants to modify the query. That's it!
You also have to take into account that you would have to change the "AL" column too.
Please besides these changes, DO NOT touch the DataslayerQueries sheet because you can break the queries you have. Learn more about this here.
